Review of 3D Drawing Pen

I received this product free for my honest and unbiased review.

This is one of the coolest things that I have seen in a while! I have to admit that when I opened the box I was a little skeptical. After I got started, i changed my mind and didn't want to stop playing with it. This is a great way to do art, it lets my creativity run wild. After I had read the instructions, I began to create. The instructions are pretty straight forward and the pen is easy to set up, then you're off and running.

I can see my drawings in 3D now and that is awesome! It takes a little practice to get used to the flow of the filament but after that it's super easy. Another thing to get used to is holding it comfortably, the feed button is on the side, not the top. My kids are gonna love it though! I absolutely recommend playing with this to every kind of artist.

~Review~ Educational Insights Games and Toys

~I received these for my honest review, all opinions are 100 my own.~

I am in love with Educational Insights. A whole company devoted to helping kids learn and have fun while doing it. What a selection they have. You can get things for any age. They have also won awards for many of their toys and games. There isn't a better place to get something for your children. It's one of my favorite sites. I was sent two different toys and a game for review. My kids loved everything as you will see.

Our first toy was Dinosaur Puppet-On-A-Stick™, Set of 3. These have been all over my house for 3 weeks now. Everyday I've seen my boys running around playing dinosaur. We've had puppet show's, dinosaur chases and the favorite is the "Growl" around game. Basically that involves the older boys scaring their two year old brother from around the couch or corner. He just laughs and laughs. What I love is Nikolas is learning colors and quite a big vocabulary from this dinosaur play. He was not interested in learning his colors at all before. Now everything he picks up he asks or tells us the color. He loves trying to scare his older brothers with his growls like they do to him.

Welcome to The Riddle Show. This is gonna be a long running hit in our house. My boys are both jokesters and they have been playing with this since the day it arrived. This microphone is so awesome. It's programmed with jokes, answers, noises, riddles and tongue twisters or you can use it as a regular microphone. I have one son who tells a ton of jokes. So he used it as a microphone. My other son is not as sure of himself so he uses the part that talks for you. This has been an encouraging for him. He doesn't feel left out anymore. What a wonderful tool for self esteem.

Here is Michael using the microphone for cracking us all up.

Thomas using the microphone as The Riddle Show.

Last but certainly NOT least is The Sneaky, Snacky Squirrel Card Game! This game was a blast. We played for hours upon hours. Photo's just don't do it justice so I did a short video of a round...

As you can see this is a fast paced and FUN game. Nikolas who is 2 was saying Sneaky Snacky the entire game, and learning new words and colors. We play a lot of games in our house and this is a new favorite. This game is for preschoolers but honestly it's fun for all ages. My 2 year old wanted to sit and play all day, and the 9,12, and 16 year old agreed. It's just a good time fun game.

I encourage you to go to Educational Insights today and look around at all the fun and learning toys and tools they offer. We plan on getting next the Geosafari® Telescope and Microscope Set and the Design & Drill® Activity Center. What fun!

~Review~ Insect Excavation Kit by Discover with Dr. Cool

~I received this for my honest review, all opinions are 100% my own~

My kids could not wait to dig (literally) into this Insect Excavation Kit by Discover with Dr. Cool. We decided to spend a whole day doing fun science stuff and this kit was included. It was by far the favorite project.

The Kit comes with digging tool, brush and magnifying glass, an activity booklet, and an info guide.

My three older children just couldn't wait. We decided they would each take a turn until they found a bug specimen. We found out pretty quickly that the digging tool it comes with is small and best for little hands. So we also used a paint can opener for the other kids.

Getting to the different Bugs took a lot of hard work and patience. My kids were laughing and talking and playing around with each other the whole time. Each time one was found there was yelling and oh be careful, use the brush, etc. They really had a blast.

The excitement when they each found a bug was hysterical. They were so careful when they'd spot one. The loved all of the bugs, which are in a round acrylic clear piece. Each of them chose a favorite to keep. You really do use all the tools in the kit and the booklets are full of fun and useful info. Something to appeal to all of them.

The Insect Excavation Kit by Discover with Dr. Cool is a great deal at $11.99 and you can pick from other kits like a Dinosaur and Shark Tooth dig and many more. There really is something for everything! We will certainly be buying a couple to try later!

~Review~ Imaginative U Subscription Box for Kids

~I received this for my honest review, all opinions are 100% my own~

My kids could not wait for this box to come. They are all very hands on kids who love science projects. So we were very excited to do this. This box was full to the brim. Here is our unboxing.

We read through the book they included first. It's called Snowflake Bentley. Then we decided to start with the snow project. Imaginative U includes multiple projects in the box but my kids had done this before and loved it. So they wanted to do it again. It's very simple and re-usable. You can put it in a plastic baggie and add water once it dries and use it over and over. It's especially fun for kids that live in warm climate's. Basically all you do is pour the mix in a bowl or on something flat and add water. Enough until it turns clear.

Our next project was crystals. The box included everything you may need, and the directions were pretty helpful. There was a few parts where we had to improvise. But by the next day we had crystals as you shall see. This project was easy, but if you want instant gratification it's not in this one. My kids were excited to look the next day though and find they had crystals. It was not to hard and not to easy for them. They are 9 and 12.

My kids loved this box and for the most part your paying for stuff you already have at home. What you don't have doesn't really equal the cost of the box. But on the plus side I hate wandering around trying to find all of this stuff and to me driving to get it would cost way more than the box. I live in a rural area. So all in all we loved this box and if my kids asked I would certainly buy it just for the ease of it all. They had a blast doing just the two projects we worked on.

This box would make science fair projects a breeze. They also have boxes for groups if you home school or need a scout project. You can order Imaginative U for $45 for a three month subscription. You can also do a one month trial for $22. They also offer add a sibling for $10.
