~ Review ~ Prosumer's Choice Natural Bamboo Monitor Stand Riser / Desktop Organizer

I seriously can not complain about this Bamboo stand at all. I don't have a desktop computer, I use a laptop but I can use it for that as well. I was using a big box before and it was not attractive at all. It's a bit different because I have to cover up one side, so I chose the phone tray since I never use one. Then I just use the side for pens, etc. This thing is very sturdy and could hold something much heavier than a small television or laptop monitor. It could hold an old style large monitor honestly. Each side has a space for your phone, ipod, pens, pencils, notes, etc. Basically for whatever you want. This thing is very nice looking and obviously well made. It sits up high enough to slide my keyboard underneath and I have a wide gaming keyboard. Or you can use it to store notepads, cards, etc underneath. I like to keep things on my desk organized so I love having more space.

I can use this on my bed also. It can sit on my lap and hold my tablet or laptop easily for short term use. All in all I LOVE this and it was the perfect stand for my desk. My daughter really wants it, but I told her no way and gave her this old plastic thing I had. Not near as awesome.

I think most of you know that I also run a business making artwork, Primitives and Selling Antiques. With Spring coming Don and I have been busy making and selling new items, and I wanted to show them to you. Garden Stakes are $9.75 each. The cabin is around 3x3" and the Birds are about 3-4" tall. Each is HAND CARVED. The stakes are metal and painted to look old. Each Garden Stake has a sealer on it so you can use it outside for years.

The Cabins are our biggest seller. Each is hand carved and painted. The cabins themselves are around 3x3 inches and the stake can run from 13" and up. Then they are sealed for outdoor use. We also make large cabins and small cabins, and even bowl fillers. We make a ton of miniatures..email me for photos and cost. (We try and keep our prices very low)

These are the birds. We started out with the smaller ones, but Don made them look a bit bigger and better detailed I think. We can do either style. They are around 3-5" tall. Stakes are also 13" and up. Each bird is also sealed. We can also make carved birds of any size with no stake. Don can do anything. He did this hawk once that was so awesome.

~Review~ Wood Sully Cherry & Maple Watch by JORD

First let me just start this with...we are not a watch wearing family. Neither my husband or I like new modern digital watches nor do we like to be on a time restraint. But my husband and I were both super excited to be able to get a watch from JORD. They make high quality wooden watches. My husband and I are both artists so we were just fascinated by the beautiful designs JORD has to offer. Each watch is handcrafted by an artist, designer and watch smith. Each watch is made with a beautiful sustainably sourced wood from all over the world.

We just loved the excellent quality of this watch. It's a beautiful Cherry and Maple wood. The patterns in the wood are just lovely. We chose the Sully because of the beautiful contrast of the wood colors. The blend so well but also stand out apart from the other. We spend a lot of our time outdoors hiking, and fishing and so we love how this watch blends into the beauty of the outdoors and doesn't stand out and scream HEY look at this technology. The clasp is easy to open, but stays shut while wearing it. It has a push button that is simple to open one handed. It's made from Stainless Steel which is wonderful for people with different metal allergies. It's also good because it will not rust or oxidize and is easy to keep clean. The face plate of the watch is just beautiful, its large and has easy to read numbers. The watch hands are also a large size which makes it easy to tell time and quickly.

JORD recommends the following for cleanings. Start with mixing two tablespoons each of olive oil and lemon juice. Apply a small amount to a soft cotton cloth. Wring the cloth to spread the mixture further into the material and apply to the wood using brisk strokes (this helps distribute the oil evenly). You may also apply a natural coating such as beeswax, butcher block oil, or walnut oil to the watch. Doing this on a regular basis will protect against damage and improve the durability of the wood while helping to maintain the moisture balance. This in turn prevents drying or cracking of your wood watch.

JORD sized the watch prior to it's shipment so it fits my husband perfectly. It is always recommended to take something of this quality to a reputable jeweler for repairs or a change in size. JORD also supplies a 12 month warranty to be free from defects in material or workmanship. The cost of this watch in my opinion is very good. This watch retails for $130 and I believe is worth every penny and more. It will last for years and years with good care.

I am just fascinated with this elegant JORD watch. My husband has not stopped wearing it since it's arrival and I am jealous I don't have one of my own. The craftsmanship is just unmatched in any watch either of us has ever owned previously. I have never in my life seen my husband wear a watch on a regular basis until now.
