~Review~ Lift Care Lemon Essential Oil

I received this free for my honest and unbiased review.

In our house we love essential oils. I have a diffuser in ever room and there are so many uses. I use this particular one (lemon) as a household cleaner mixed with vinegar and water. I just put it in a spray bottle and use it anywhere that I need to clean or disinfect. I also love to use citrus oils in my diffusers. This one has a good strong real lemon peel smell to it. It mixes well with many other oils, and especially other citrus oils. This lemon oil will wake you up and keep you going when you need an energy boost. It's very refreshing and keeps you alert.

This seems to be a pretty good quality oil by Lift Care and I have been happy with the results I have gotten using it. It does come with a glass dropper. You can get your own on Amazon.com

~Review~ Greenwald's Carpet & Fabric Stain Remover Kit

Ok there is not enough good things I can say about Greenwald's Products as you can see in my last review. The Greenwald's Carpet & Fabric Stain Remover Kit was what I received next for review. Greenwald's products are super simple to make and use. They come with a large spray bottle and a plastic package with 6 refill packs. They are water soluble.

These are so simple to mix. Fill up your bottle with warm water and add one water soluble refill pack. Wait for about a minute and then shake gently. That's it and your ready to go. We inherited some sofas and they were in pretty good shape as in no rips, but really needed some clearning So my husband decided to test out the Greenwald's Carpet & Fabric Stain Remover. All he did was spray with Greenwald's Carpet & Fabric Stain Remover and let it set for a about 5-10 minutes and then lightly scrubbed. Once it dried all stains were basically gone. This product is really awesome because there is no nasty chemical smell. It has a lightscent to it and won't bother those who are sensitive or have allergies

I could seriously go on and on about Greenwald's products and these are my new favorites. We will be buying refills as soon as we run out. It's also very inexpensive. ~Review~ VibraWipe Microfiber Cleaning Cloth

I hate cleaning cloths. They get so nasty and dirty and fall apart. I have always wanted to try Microfiber cloth. I have heard such great things about them. When my VibraWipe Microfiber Cloth's arrived I was pleased right away.They are a nice size, slightly bigger than a wash cloth. They come in a big package of eight cloth's.

These come in four pastel shades so they don't bleed in the wash. The only bad thing is they show everything and attract hair. BUT they certainly do clean. We use them for everything, cleaning the stove and kitchen counters. We use them on the windows and after winter they were no picnic. The cloth's wash easy and dry quickly. I could certainly use more.

~Review~ Apothecary Extracts 100% Pure Australian Tea Tree Oil

Who has problems with dry flaky scalp? Do you, because I do. So when I was asked to try the Apothecary Extracts 100% Pure Australian Tea Tree Oil I was glad to. That's what I wanted it for. I just add a drop with my shampoo and voila...cleans up my scalp and my dandruff goes away.

This Tea Tree Oil has a lot of other uses than that. Some other great uses are for cleaning. Just add a few drops to a spray bottle of water and your have an All Natural Cleaner that won't make you sick. I love to use oils as a natural cleanser. It's also great for all sorts of skin issues.

How about stress? Aren't all of our lives filled with stress? I know mine is with eight kids and medical problems. Just a sniff of Tea Tree Oil helps to calm you down. I've used it for over a year now when I get over stressed of anxious. It's helped with panic attacks also.

This is a cold pressed Lemon Oil by Majestic Pure. It comes in nice packaging, glass bottle and has a glass eye dropper for use. It has a really nice lemon aroma when you open it.

My favorite uses for lemon oil are as a room refresher. Just put a couple drops and fill with water in a small spritzing or spray bottle. It takes away the odor from pets, cigarettes, burnt food (not that I would ever burn food ha ha), mildew or mold smells. It works well as a fabric refresher also. When we moved into this house it smelled awful. The people before us were not clean people and I have used it all over the house and it gives it such a clean fresh scent. What's better is it's a healthy natural scent, not toxin or harsh chemicals laced with lemon scent. I must say that I truly love this brand and would certainly buy it again because it is made from lemon rinds.

This is higly concentrated Lemon Essential Oil by Skinology It comes in nice packaging, glass bottle and a glass eye dropper for use. It has a really nice lemon aroma.

~Review~ Bobee Momma & Baby Elephant Decals

I love decals. They are such a fun way to get art on your walls that isn't expensive. They are also easily removable. I got the momma and baby elephant from Bobee. The large elephant is 9" tall by 12" wide, the smaller elephant is 7" tall by 9" wide. Side-by-side, they are 21" wide. I was worried about how difficult these would be to put up, I actually put it off for awhile. I worried for nothing, the process took less than 5 mins. You just peel the top cover off and then firmly press a little at a time to the wall. Smooth with your hand as you go. Then remove the top layer and voila, Instant art! Seriously it was that easy! (Do make sure your wall is clean)

It's On Water, It's On!

So yesterday we think we finally have it. We ended up buying a new hot water heater after we opened up the electrical on the old one and it was full of water. YIKES! So all day it gets worked on because we've had enough. Don needs a shower and my fibromyalgia pain is out of control and I need a hot bath. I got so far as even cleaning the bathtub and getting excited. About 5 minutes into bathroom cleaning and you hear whooosh. I literally started crying. We found the leak on the hot water side right below the tub, no problem. We'll get to it in the morning, at least we have cold water. At least we can finally use the toilet. No problem all night, and this morning I get up and the toilet won't flush. Your kidding me right? NO I am not. I go running outside and the meter is screaming around. Go out back and we have a flood. Who knows how long this has been going on, could of been all night.

I could really use a hug right now.

Running Water and How much I miss it....

I've never really given a thought to having running water. I mean who does, it's just a fact of life today. You get a house, and you get water. It comes out hot when you need it, and cold when you don't. It's an endless supply, you can leave it on and it never stops coming, until one day it doesn't!

Don has been working on our pipes now for six days. That's right six days with no water, no bath, no showers, no dish water. Six days of ok, surely now it's fixed and an hour later when the test comes all you hear is screaming...TURN IT OFF, TURN IT OFF, as water pours out of another pipe somewhere else. This house only has one bathroom. Surely there can't be that much pipe left can there? Imagine if it had 2 or 3 bathrooms? I finally can appreciate having one bathroom for 10 people because it mean's there is less that can go wrong. Sad, that thought.

The second day of pipe obliteration saw us ripping up the bathroom floor because the people who owned this house thought it was a grand idea to put a bathroom on the old porch. Only the bathroom wasn't raised up, so all pipes rest on the COLD concrete porch. Why then do they wonder that the pipes all froze and burst? Am I the only person who looks at pipes on a COLD concrete floor and thinks, hey this is a pretty terrible idea? Apparently I am.

Poor Don has been working in the freezing cold wet ground day after day, trying to repair them. Then he whistles as he leaves for work. I think I need to follow in his footsteps, only I can't imagine whistling during this. I think I got the easy job, ripping up carpet and cleaning up the mess the people before us left. Can I say I never want pets again? Ok maybe I do, but long after this goes out of my head.

Moving....and the flood...

Yep we love to move. Ok not really. I mean who loves packing up and moving all the time? What we like is going to new places. We decided awhile ago that while we love living on the farm we really wanted to be in town for the kids. Now when I say town what I really mean is one horse town. Summersville....population 500. Now population 507! We've been watching and waiting for a place. Houses in town don't come up often. So we finally find one (the hovel we called it) and were going to move and got a call that a much bigger, roomier place opened by the school. Still a hovel, but a hovel with potential.

We started our demolition yesterday. The previous tenants left everything they'd owned inside and in the front yard. When anyone asks where we are moving, I say you know that house by the school with all the trash. Seriously...I bought three boxes of garbage bags. What's sad is some of it's not bad. It's not my style, but it's not bad. So you have to wonder why? The neighbor came over and was so happy. No kidding! I'm happy someone is cleaning it and I didn't have to look at it everyday.

You know I could have a fine collection of yard art, a toilet, a sink, a broken birdbath, chaise lounge! Ha ha....No I'm totally kidding. What I was thrilled to see was hardwood under the old green carpet. We pulled that sucker up quick. Even better it's in pretty good shape. There is one spot where they started to paint it and then stopped....but we can sand that.

The kitchen is kind of cute, it can be left for now with just some paint touch-ups. The bathroom on the other hand....well it needs some serious love and new...EVERYTHING!

Today's plan was water on, internet called, more carpet pulling, top to bottom bathroom clean. Well that ended at water on. Yes the water was on for Noah. His ark would of gone in the yard nicely. Pipes must of froze, water poured out from under the house. Don spent all afternoon and evening in a foot of water. He will be finishing his scuba adventure tomorrow.

So for now we are cleaning and fixing. Lot's of painting to do, lots of trash to clean up and burn. It's a slow process. We still plan on having animals, especially chickens. The pig will stay at the farm till she's bacon ready. Off on a new adventure!
