~Review~ The OrGREENizer Set by The Green Garmento

~I received this for my honest and unbiased review. All opinions are 100% my own.

How many of you dryclean? Don't you hate getting those plastic bags every time. What a waste...stuff like that just drives me nuts. I am the girl at the grocery store who doesn't bag her veggies (and gets stared at) and I most certainly do not want to bag my clothing either. So I was very excited to see a new reuseable llaundry dry cleaning system by The Green Garmento.

The one I got is called The OrGREENizer Set. It is like a garment bag and laundry hamper all in one. It comes with a big green bag that can be used as your own reuseable dry cleaning bag. But it also comes with a stand to use it as a laundry hamper. Since I do not have a ton of dry cleaning I mainly use it for a laundry hamper. They sent me greem but they also have other colors. So far this has held up amazing. We have 8 kids who just stuff laundry in, and I thought for sure this would rip but nope it has help of wonderfully. It is very well made and was a snap to put it together.

It's such a useful versitle tool. It's very easy to use as a garment bag and then put back into the stand for a laundry hamper. I just love the ease of use and not needing three different products that this one can do. It would be perfect for a young person just starting out in the real world! You can get your own at the Green Garmento website along with some other reusable items. In my world this product is great!

~Review~ Delicates Wash Bag Set

~I received these products for my review, all opinions are 100% my own.~

This lingerie wash bag set comes with 4 Luxury Wash Bags, 2 Medium 12" x 15" white bags and 2 Large 16" x 19" white and black bags. Use the white wash bags for light-colored loads, and the black bag for dark-colored items. It has a zipped closure so it is snag free. The bags are a small mesh so nothing can get snagged by other item's in the wash either.

I tried mine out the first time with a super expensive pair of tights I bought from Japan. I haven't had great experience with this type of bag in the past so I was a little nervous. When I took the bag out the first thing I noticed was I hadn't got the zipped in the elastic closure completely. Luckily it barely touched the tights and so there were no big snags or holes. This was completely my fault. The second time I made sure to get the zipper inside the closure and it stayed put. No snags, clothes came out clean. In fact the tights from the first trial still looked new.

You can buy your own Delicates Wash Bag Set on Amazon. These are really great quality, nothing like the brands carried at the big box stores! I would certainly use them again!

Running Water and How much I miss it....

I've never really given a thought to having running water. I mean who does, it's just a fact of life today. You get a house, and you get water. It comes out hot when you need it, and cold when you don't. It's an endless supply, you can leave it on and it never stops coming, until one day it doesn't!

Don has been working on our pipes now for six days. That's right six days with no water, no bath, no showers, no dish water. Six days of ok, surely now it's fixed and an hour later when the test comes all you hear is screaming...TURN IT OFF, TURN IT OFF, as water pours out of another pipe somewhere else. This house only has one bathroom. Surely there can't be that much pipe left can there? Imagine if it had 2 or 3 bathrooms? I finally can appreciate having one bathroom for 10 people because it mean's there is less that can go wrong. Sad, that thought.

The second day of pipe obliteration saw us ripping up the bathroom floor because the people who owned this house thought it was a grand idea to put a bathroom on the old porch. Only the bathroom wasn't raised up, so all pipes rest on the COLD concrete porch. Why then do they wonder that the pipes all froze and burst? Am I the only person who looks at pipes on a COLD concrete floor and thinks, hey this is a pretty terrible idea? Apparently I am.

Poor Don has been working in the freezing cold wet ground day after day, trying to repair them. Then he whistles as he leaves for work. I think I need to follow in his footsteps, only I can't imagine whistling during this. I think I got the easy job, ripping up carpet and cleaning up the mess the people before us left. Can I say I never want pets again? Ok maybe I do, but long after this goes out of my head.

Diapers Diapers everywhere....

Getting along good with our newest diaper editions. I have more inserts than I know what to do with! I think there is 80. I have been hang drying them. I was worried at first about them being misshapen but they haven't been at all. I've been just washing on cold and having no issues what so ever. I'm alternating using the covers that came with it and my all in two covers. Seems to work well either way!

Look at this crazy stack, and it's only half of them.

The biggest issue I am facing at the moment is the lack of room for laundry to dry. It's too cold outside and not enough room inside. This is how diaper laundry days look at our house at the moment.
