Ok, how can you not love these? This is just a lovely example of a rain chain. Never heard of them? Well you have no idea what you're missing. This is a simple concept. Replace your gutter downspout with the rain chain. It's simple to install. Then wait for the rain. When it rains this makes such a lovely tinkling sound when the rain hits it and goes down the chain. It rained right after we put it up and I just love listening and watching it. I can sit on my big wrap around porch and see it.
This rain chain is nice and long, and extends from the gutter almost to the ground. Mine is maybe a foot away from it. I have mine hanging over a flower bed but it works really well over a barrel or something you may use to collect rainwater. Then you can water your garden, flowers and pets. The rain chain is nice and light in weight making it not an issue to hang from your gutter. It will not cause your gutter to fall or sag. It sways in the wind and doesn't pull at your gutter.
This rain chain comes with an easy to install v section for your gutter. My husband had it up and ready to go before I had even asked. I had been wanting one of these for ages, admiring them at friends homes. I am just as thrilled with it as I thought I would be. I adore the beautiful copper patina that in no way detracts from the house or yard. It's just a lovely addition to our front porch. I will most certainly be buying more, including one for my mom for Mother's Day as she has been eyeing mine.
