~UnBoxing~ OwlCrate YA Book Subscription Book for All Ages & Discount! Get Nerdy!

I received no compensation for this post, I will receive a discount if you sign up for a subscription

OMG I just love books, I think most of you know that. I also have a sneaky obsession for those young adult paranormal or fantasy books. Yes at 38 I love YA. Just saying, it's ok if you do too. It's also something fun I can share (of have her steal) with my seventeen year old daughter. I honestly will read anything if it's a good book. One of my favorite all time hands down youth series are the Harry Potter books. I mean they were so descriptive and well written and I loved how they moved up with the kids. I bought them for my much younger brother (twelve years younger) and it was something for him and I to enjoy together over the years. Now my baby brother is a genius so when he said you need to read Harry Potter I thought hmmmm maybe there is something to these. I will never not try a book, so I did and boy was I hooked. How can you not love that series and how it grew up with that late 80's early 90's youth. What a great concept!

So this months OwlCrate theme was MAGIC. I knew there would be some Harry Potter in this box and so I decided it was time to try it out and give you all a review. I don't do video unboxings all that often but I did for this one. It was just too much fun. OwlCrate is $29.99 a month and if you do a six month signup you get a discount. You can also get 10% off your first OwlCrate for being a new member with the code NEWMEMBER. It's a really good deal as you will see below, and well just fun. I love getting little gifts in the mail, don't you?

Want to see my unboxing video? Check it out on my YouTube Page HERE! Now onto the goodies. I seriously watched the mailbox every day for this, and it was hard to get the camera out when all I wanted to do was start reading.

First up is the Spoiler Warning Postcard that tells you what is in your box. This is on card stock and heavy and the best thing is, the other side is adorable and totally able to be framed. It's going up on my Harry Potter wall.

Next up is the awesome POP Vinyl Funko Figure of Albus Dumbledore from the Harry Potter movies. The estimated value is $10.57. This I was so happy with, as I stated, I adore Harry Potter, books and movies!

Next up was the super looking Bookmark by Elvie Bookish. It was inspired by the The Raven Cycle Series by Maggie Stiefvater. I found some other things she has for sale at society6 I estimate the bookmark value at around $4.

Then there was a little card stock for an eBook A Knot in the Grain by Robin McKinley. Sadly it was not free and it costs $3.99 but has a savings of $3 making it almost half off. The book looks very interesting if I do say so.

Next was the cute art print also by Elvie Bookish. It was inspired from Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas. I thought it was so cute and want to frame it for my wall or dresser. I love the stars and flowers. It's made of heavy card stock, and the value is $12.50.

Next up is the fantastic smelling (and tasting) Patronus white chocolate mint lip balm from Geek Fire Labs. This has a value of $4 and check out some of their other stuff, so fun!

Last up was this months included book. Every month you receive a new book to read. Best part in my opinion. The book is Worlds of Ink and Shadow by Lena Coakley. This was already on my GoodReads bookshelf along with all the others in this box, which I find too funny. You can follow me on GoodReads if you want to. Included with the book was a sweet little note from the author just for OwlCrate subscribers and a paper doll set. Yes you heard my right, a paper doll set. I adore paper dolls, so I am thrilled! I wish they were still popular. The retail value of the book itself is $12 and you really can't put a price on a special note and the dolls.

So all in total I give this box a value of $46.07 not including the adorable OwlCrate Stock Card, the note or the paper dolls that were included. That is a great value for what the box costs and I certainly recommend this box. It is my new favorite. As I stated above OwlCrate is $29.99 a month and if you do a six month signup you get a discount. You can also get 10% off your first OwlCrate for being a new member with the code NEWMEMBER. ~Review~ Sharing Small Sock Subscription

~I received this for my honest review, all opinions are 100% my own.~

I love subscription boxes don't you? Sharing Small is a sock subscription box for kids. How it works is each month you will receive two pairs of socks featuring the Sharing Small Explorers on a fun adventure. Each month is a different adventure. You will also get a postcard from the Explorers talking about their most recent adventure.

I got the Sharing Small Subscription for my nine year old Thomas. He goes through socks like water. He loved the socks and I must say they've held up really well. They are nicely put together socks, bright colored and well stitched. They fit his feet perfectly as you can see so they fit true to size.

My favorite part about the Sharing Small subscription is that for every pair of socks your child receives, they donate a pair to a child in need. So in turn this becomes a wonderful teaching tool for your child about helping others and kids that are in need. I really like the idea behind this box and so for just $10 a month I think it's totally worth it even if just for the lesson!

~Review~ The Bean Box

~I received this for my honest review, all opinions are 100% my own.~

The Bean Box is a monthly subscription box filled with coffee to try from Seattle coffee roasters. You can see which companies the use on the Coffee page. Each month you receive four bags of hand-picked gourmet coffee roasts. They are shipped fresh to you and when I say fresh I mean fresh. Mine were roasted less than a week before I got them. I recommend trying all of these without any cream or sugar first. I also recommend a coffee grinder and a French Press for the best taste. Grinding your coffee beans directly before brewing is always best for flavor.

The first coffee we tried was the Herkimer Coffee, Drip Blend. After I ground the coffee, the smell was like being in a cherry orchard. I brewed it in my French Press and started getting hints of chocolate. Once it was done the crema was a rich caramel color. I got hints of chocolate, caramel and cherry flavors in the first taste. On the tip of my tongue was the taste of caramelized sugar. It had a smooth aftertaste and not much acidity. The after flavor reminded me of chocolate covered cherries. It left my palette refreshed, and was a thoroughly enjoyable cup of coffee. This one was my favorite!

Next up was Lighthouse Roasters Fine Coffees, Roaster's Choice. This is their signature coffee. Upon opening this on was smelled very aromatic, with a slight floral scent. The combination of three coffee's left a bright flavor after it was brewed. This is a blend of Ethiopian, Sumatran and Latin Arabicas. This had a bright floral aftertaste on my palette. It had a strong finish from the Arabica beans.

Next we decided to give the Ethipian Yirgacheffe from Longshoreman's Daughter Coffee Roaster a try. This is one of my husband's personal favorite's. When we opened the bag, the bittersweet aroma brings instant satisfaction with it's complexion of the scent of it's flavors. Once brewed, we enjoyed a bold coffee experience with a sweet berry/citrus aftertaste. The smoothness and richness of this coffee allow me to feel as if I am sitting in a European cafe. He is always completely satisfied with the Yirgacheffe and this was his favorite in the box this month.

On our last day we tried the Nilson Lopez Columbia by kuma coffee. The smell of this one was heavenly. The wonderful of aroma awoke our whole household. Everyone was excited to try this one. The flavor is a bright simple sweetness. Each sip brings a different flavor with a different note of chocolate and pomegranate. A delight of flavor that is not too strong and not bitter. This would have to be my personal second favorite.

Would you like to have The Bean Box delivered to your door once a month? You can sign up or send one as a gift on The Bean Box website. You can also opt to get a Full Bag delivered once a month or every two weeks.

~Review & Giveaway~ Blueberry Cove Beads Subscription Box

~I received this for my honest review, all opinions are 100% my own.~

Blueberry Cove Beads is a monthly subscription box. Each month is a different theme and each month there is a Challenge with something in the box. The challenge winner wins a free box. How fun is that? Each box contains between 9 and 13 different items. I got this box for my husband Don and my daughter Emily. They are my jewelry maker's. The beads come in a beautiful little bag, with a wooden tag and a cute postcard.

This month the theme was Vintage Tea Party. The post card explains the theme and this month's challenge.

So here are the fun items that were in our box. First was a bunch of Bronze/Gold colored filigree pieces. These are the pieces that make up the challenge this month. Make a piece of jewelry using a filigree piece.

Then we had some little cake and eye screws. These are very Kawaii...I loved them best.

Some cute little glass pink flowers, very English tea garden.

Some little bronze/gold teapot and teaspoons. Very fitting with this months theme.

Sweet little blue and white ceramic tea cup and saucer. I collect blue and white pottery so I snagged these to display.

We loved the little bronze/gold timepiece, very Alice in Wonderland.. I thinking of a new piece to make here..Cake, Clock... and then some pieces to work with.

Then two chains to match all the bronze colored pieces in the box. Don was in need of chain so he was thrilled that was included.

Two small silver spoons, these didn't really match the other pieces but they are very cute and go with the theme. Not sure yet what we will do with these. They are about the size of vintage salt spoons and I may actually use one for that. YES I can find a decorative use for anything.

A bunch of glass beads with pretty purple flowers. These to me go along with the whole English Tea Garden.

Lastly two large strands of purple and white pearl type glass beads. These are very nice.

For $22, I think and Don agrees that this is a very good value. Beads and Supplies are expensive and this box has good quality items. Plus it also includes a fun theme every month to work with and a contest you can enter. My husband has been having a blast coming up with different things using the items in this box. He says he loves the theme because it made him go out of his comfort zone to try new idea's.

Here are the two items he has come up with using mostly items from the box. He used some black victorian lace to make a choker necklace. He added the pink roses and white pearls, two spoons and a little pink cake. He thought it looked very much like something that would be worn to a "Vintage" tea.

The last piece is his "Contest" piece, so he had to incorporate a filigree piece. He chose some aqua wooden beads he already had to create a cross to hang. He was going for an old fashioned elegance with a modern day appeal.

We really had fun with this box and I look forward to seeing what next month's theme will be. You can sign up for Blueberry Cove on the Blueberry Cove website. They have also graciously offered to give my readers the opportunity to win the March Blueberry Cove box! Enter below!

~Review~ Little Passports Subscription Box

~I received this for my honest review, all opinions are 100% my own. If you click on links in my review and purchase I will make a small commission~

My family loves to travel. We've been to almost every state in the United States and plan to next start visiting other countries. When I saw that there was a subscription box for kids that was based around traveling I was super excited. Our Little Passports box came and the kids couldn't wait to open it. We chose the World Edition subscription. Your first month you get The Explorer Kit, which is basically just a starter kit. This is for ages 5 through 10, but as you'll see the 2 year old loved it just as much as the older kids.

He was very excited by the suitcase. Since these photos this suitcase has been home to movies, cars, stuffed animals, you name it, it's been a holder for it.

This particular box has items for your upcoming journeys. The first items we got were a VERY LARGE wall sized World map. This we are putting up in the hallway between the kids rooms so they can all enjoy it. My 12 year old Michael loved this because he said it would be useful for school and his trivia games as well. Nikolas pulled out some stickers, because what little kid doesn't LOVE stickers. Besides the suitcase, he loves them best.

Still won't put those stickers down. Next we got a postcard. It has a picture of the characters Sam and Sofia and how they found this scooter that will take you anywhere in the world.

Next we got a Passport replica. This is adorable, looks totally realistic. It has a spot for your photo, and some different questions about countries and then a few pages for stamps.

The box also includes a Welcome Letter, a Boarding pass you can hang on your suitcase and an activity book. All in all I really like this box....and the boxes that follow look even more exciting. They include souvenirs also. The only thing that I do not like about this box is that the suitcase is paper. My boys will probably have it apart in a few weeks if I am lucky. But for $10.95 or $11.95 this is a good deal. It's a fun box to get in the mail and I think the kids will learn all sorts of interesting things about the world.

If you are interested in staring a subscription of your own, you can get a box that suits anywhere from ages 3 through 12. Although my 16 year old was really interested in the adorable souvenirs. This would be a great addition to homeschooling also. Go Sign up to Enjoy traveling with your kids at Little Passports
